Development and Exploration
APLS Holding has been present in Malaysia since 2010. APLS Holding (Pty) Ltd. is Operator of Block SK 320 with 55 percent interest, PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PETRONAS Carigali) holds 25 percent, and Sarawak Shell Berhad 20 percent interest respectively.
SK 320 - Pegaga Gas Field Development
An exploration drilling campaign in 2013-14 yielded three new, substantial gas discoveries in this block: Pegaga, Sirih, Sintok. Regulatory endorsement was received in April 2016 for the preferred concept for developing the Pegaga gas discovery and in July 2016, the contract for frontend engineering and design (FEED) was awarded. In June 2017 the Pegaga project received regulatory endorsement for the completed FEED concept to develop the gas discovery.
In March 2018, APLS Holding (Pty) Ltd. and its partners PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PETRONAS Carigali) and Sarawak Shell Berhad have reached the Final Investment Decision for the Pegaga gas field development in Block SK 320, offshore Malaysia. The project has now proceeded to the construction and installation stage.
